Good Measure Studios is owned and operated by Markham Square Ventures, LLC (“Good Measure Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We sell video courses through our website and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect through the Service, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It also serves as our cookie notice.
1. Personal information we collect
Information you provide to us.
- Contact and account data — your name, email address, and the settings on your account.
- Transactional data — the courses you buy, order details, and purchase history.
- Team data — team names, seat assignments, and the email addresses of people you invite to your team.
- Communications data — what you send us when you contact support or otherwise correspond with us.
Payment data. Payments are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we receive transaction records (such as the amount, date, and last four digits of your card). Stripe uses your payment data in accordance with its privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google, based on your Google account settings.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Service, we and our service providers automatically log device data (such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen size) and activity data (such as pages viewed, course and lesson progress, video playback activity, access times, and the page that referred you to us).
Information about others. When you invite someone to your team or refer someone to the Service, we collect their email address so we can deliver the invitation. Please don’t share someone’s contact details with us unless you have their permission.
2. Cookies and tracking technologies
The Service uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — keeping you signed in, remembering your session, and protecting the Service against cross-site request forgery. The Service doesn’t work without these.
- Referral cookie — remembering which partner referred you, for up to 60 days, so we can attribute your signup.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service (which pages are visited, how visitors move around, and where they come from). You can learn how Google processes this data at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not use advertising cookies or interest-based advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in. Some browsers can send “Do Not Track” signals; because we don’t track you across other sites, we do not respond to them.
3. How we use your personal information
- Service delivery — running your account, signing you in, delivering the courses you bought, saving your progress, and managing teams and seats.
- Transactional email — sending sign-in links and codes, receipts, team invitations, and service-related announcements.
- Support — responding to your requests, questions, and feedback.
- Referral attribution — tracking where signups come from so we can credit partners who referred you.
- Service improvement and analytics — understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it and develop new courses.
- Marketing — sending you marketing emails about our courses, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email.
- Compliance and protection — complying with applicable laws and legal process, enforcing our Terms of Service, and preventing fraud and abuse.
4. How we share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service — Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and analytics), Cloudflare (video hosting and delivery), and providers of hosting and email delivery.
- Your team — if you join a team, the team owner can see your name, email address, and seat assignment.
- Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers, in the course of the services they render to us.
- Authorities — law enforcement and government authorities where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary for the compliance and protection purposes above.
- Business transferees — an acquirer, successor, or assignee in connection with an actual or prospective merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
5. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, but we retain purchase records as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, and we may retain information as needed to establish or defend legal claims or prevent fraud.
6. Your choices
- Access or update — you can review and update your account information in your settings.
- Delete your account — you can delete your account from your settings at any time.
- Opt out of marketing — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You’ll still receive transactional emails like receipts and sign-in links.
- Cookies — see the cookies section above for your options.
7. Security
We employ technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, security risk is inherent in all internet technologies, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
8. Other sites and services
The Service may contain links to websites and services operated by third parties. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other services you use.
9. International data transfer
We are headquartered in the United States and may use service providers that operate in other countries. Your personal information may be transferred to the United States or other locations where privacy laws may not be as protective as those where you live.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a manner prohibited by law, contact us at hello@goodmeasurestudios.com and we will delete it as required by applicable law.
11. State privacy rights
Residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others) may have some or all of the following rights, to the extent those laws apply to us: to know what personal information we have collected and request a copy of it, to correct inaccurate personal information, to delete personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You are entitled to exercise these rights free from discrimination.
We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, or collect sensitive personal information — so no opt-out is needed for those practices. We also do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes (California “Shine the Light”).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@goodmeasurestudios.com from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request, and where permitted by law we may decline requests we cannot verify. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and posting it on the Service, or by other appropriate means. Your use of the Service after the effective date of a modified policy means the modified policy applies to your interactions with the Service.
